# Jabra Evolve2 65 Wireless Headset Review

To help our partners, SIRKit typically tests new products in real-world scenarios before officially recommending them. Our process is simple, we assign new products to internal teams, and ask them to use and abuse them, and provide feedback based on legitimate everyday use.
With that in mind, we’ve decided to use our results to produce a regular blog segment showcasing exceptional products.
Our first review is for the Jabra Evolve2 65 Wireless Headset. Headsets weren’t very popular until the pandemic hit, primarily because meetings were held in person. However, when platforms like Microsoft Teams exploded, headsets became a hot commodity because of high-quality audio features for online meetings and music. Compared to traditional telephone handsets, headsets are comfortable, help with neck strain, and free up both hands.
The Jabra Evolve2 65 Wireless Headset supports many unified communication vendors:

- Google
- Fuze
- Dialpad
- Ring Central
We picked up the Microsoft Teams certified edition for testing.
The audio quality is surprisingly rich. Listening to calls and music is crystal clear, and remote parties reported the microphone offering a warm frequency response (bass and treble resemble being in person). The microphone also eliminated a considerable amount of background noise, a bonus for rooms with multiple staff.
This particular Jabra headset offers busylights to help colleagues identify when you’re busy. Built-in LEDs change colour based on your real-time Microsoft Teams status. For example, if you’re in a meeting, it illuminates red; if you’re available, it illuminates green.
The headset connects via Bluetooth version 5 and offers a range of 30 meters (100 feet). It also connects to two devices at once (a PC and a mobile phone, for example) to ensure you’re available on either device for incoming calls.
To reduce the amount of time spent interacting with your computer, the Jabra Evolve2 65 Wireless Headset offers the following features:
- The built-in microphone automatically mutes when lifted (or vice versa)
- Volume can be increased and decreased, and media can be played or paused, using buttons
- Incoming calls can be answered with a quick touch
We truly appreciate these productivity features because the headset can be independently controlled. You don’t have to interact with your computer to perform basic tasks.
The unit comes bundled with a convenient dock for charging. Once docked, the audio connection to your computer is conveniently shut off. A standard USB-C cable can charge the headset on road trips to avoid lugging the dock around. The built-in battery is surprisingly powerful and offers talk time up to 35 hours, and music up to 37 hours. A full recharge takes approximately 90 minutes.
After wearing other headsets for extended durations, pressure against your ears often leads to discomfort or pain. You will appreciate how soft and comfortable the Jabra Evolve 2 65 is. The design not only offers passive noise cancellation but also feels great on the ears. That said, nothing is perfect, and you should drop it around your neck when not in use.
The last feature we believe is noteworthy is the Jabra software, which provides firmware updates directly to the headset. The Jabra development team releases updates frequently, which addressed a couple of minor issues observed during the testing period.
The majority of our team now uses this headset. The excellent noise cancellation, audio quality, battery life, and extended range make the product well worth the money. It certainly aligns with the superb standard Jabra usually delivers. As headsets continue to advance, we anticipate handsets will eventually disappear.
